Mamphele Development Planners CC is the authorised agent of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality and the registered owner of ERF 372 General Albertspark Ext 2.

They are proposing a high density development in Lincoln Road, Alberton.  This is the land opposite Lemon Tree Shopping Mall.

According to paperwork handed in at Ekurhuleni we could establish that the units will be 2 bedroom units no bigger than 50m2.

The planned project shows a ground, 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor.

Below is the latest feedback we received from Area Manager Thinus van Staden (City Planning):

This application is still in process. There are certain technical matters that need to be sorted out by the applicant, as well as comments from external departments that are required, before the matter can proceed.

In view of the large number of objections, the application will have to be referred to the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Planning Tribunal for consideration.

Once all outstanding matters have been addressed, a report on the application will be compiled, which will be forwarded to the Tribunal Administration.

A date for the hearing will then be set and objectors will be notified by the Tribunal Administration of the date, time and venue of the hearing.

No date for the hearing has been set yet, as there are still outstanding matters relating to the application, as indicated above.
