Chaos Doctrine releases debut track

Chaos Doctrine metal band based in Alberton

Chaos Doctrine, a metal band based right here in Alberton, just released the debut track from their forthcoming debut album. The track, CULT, has gotten a lot of attention and we decided to catch up with some of the band’s members at their studio.

MY ALBERTON:

Hi guys! Tell us about your connection to Alberton?

CHAOS DOCTRINE:

Hi, thanks for having us. Chaos Doctrine’s production house, Subhuman Studios, is based here. Our one guitarist, Ray, also lives in Alberton.

My ALBERTON:

Who are your other band members, and where are they based?

Chaos Doctrine:

Other than Ray, we have Dr D on vocals, Alec on guitars, and Phil on bass and backing vocals. All three of them reside in the West Rand.

MY ALBERTON:

Is this your first time entering the local metal scene?

CHAOS DOCTRINE:

Definitely not. Ray played for Superclown, Stone the Free, Malachi, and DedX. Alec was in Sacraphyx and The Warinsane, and has played the holy grail of metal, Wacken. Dr D was in Bedlam, Malachi, and DedX. Phil was in DedX with Dr D and Ray. We are old guys! (laughs)

MY ALBERTON:

Your track Cult was released last week and has gotten great reviews. Tell us more about the track?

CHAOS DOCTRINE:

Go watch the video and read the lyrics, and then you come tell us about it! (laughs)

My Alberton:

We will do that! What is next for Chaos Doctrine?

Chaos DOCTRINE:

Right now we are preparing for our first shows and finalising our debut album.

MY ALBERTON:

Your first shows? Will we see you in Alberton?

CHAOS DOCTRINE:

Yes, in fact, we are planning an exclusive “friends of the band” event, which will be down the road from here, for the middle of this year. Shortly after, we will do our official album launch.

My ALBERTON:

Well there you have it. Thank you Chaos Doctrine!
